The girl I picked up in the back alley turned out to be the heroine of a bad ending otome game Volume 1 Afterword

Afterword

Thank you for purchasing The girl I picked up in the back alley turned out to be the heroine of a bad ending otome game.

I am the author, Kabochamask.

First of all, I feel a great sense of relief and gratitude to have completed this novel as a paperback and to have it delivered to all of you.

The story follows a former heroine whose wings were broken after never being tied to anyone. She overcomes hardships with the protagonist, sometimes engaging in sweet moments, and ultimately spreads her wings once again. I truly hope you enjoy this story.

The inspiration for this work came from an experience I had while playing a certain romance game. After seeing the normal end for the sake of collecting CGs, I wondered, "What would happen to the protagonist who ends up alone without being with anyone?" and "If the heroine meets the hero after a bad end, how would she change?" This spark of imagination turned into something I couldn’t let go of and eventually led me to write the story and post it online.

I never imagined that my simple daydream would lead to such a wonderful outcome, where I received such warm support from many readers and was even invited to publish it. I am deeply grateful to all the readers who sent their feedback and evaluations through the web version, and to everyone involved in the creation and sale of this book. Thank you so much, truly.

The main plot of this work is the same as the web version, but it has been refined with additional events and changes in the relationship between Ash and Fine. It might be interesting to read and compare it with the web version, seeing how things have been altered.

Lastly, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my editor, S, who patiently guided me through many meetings to help bring this work to completion, to the illustrator Heiro, who gave life to the characters with their wonderful illustrations, to Sneaker Bunko for publishing this work, and to everyone involved in its production. And to all the readers who continue to support this story online, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Translations of volume 1 completed with this! It was interesting set-up and had fun translating it, hope readers liked it as well.

Also, for info, this series did got a re-print right after the release, so high chances for getting volume 2! Will be there to cover up when it releases!

As I said that, there's still a short story left to translate.
