​Thank you so much for reading my work, The Spirit Master Who is Thought to be Hiding His True Ability is Actually Always Fighting Seriously.

​As the title suggests, this story began with a rather simple, silly idea: "There are plenty of stories where the protagonist hides their true strength and is underestimated by those around them, but you rarely see a protagonist who is giving it their absolute all yet constantly overestimated by everyone else."

​As a result, the protagonist in this book became a character who, in a world where contracting spirits is the norm, is pioneering a path where he is completely unable to form a spirit contract. However, because the people around him don't realize this, they constantly assume: He must be hiding an unbelievably powerful spirit! Thus, he is constantly being wildly overestimated.

​It really is exactly what the title says.

​Lastly, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone involved in the publication of this book.

​To Kanata Katana-san, who provided the beautiful and adorable illustrations for this volume, and to my editor-in-charge.
