This book is a revised and expanded version of the story that was originally serialized online, and I am truly grateful that it has now reached your hands.

Volume 1 began with a series of unexpected events for Ren.
He was reincarnated as an unforeseen character, encountered the saintess Lishia—someone he had never wanted to meet—and found himself risking his life to protect her when she grew attached to him.
Everything that happened was merely the prologue to his extraordinary fate.
Of course, Ren’s story is far from over.
There are still many mysteries to uncover—the true nature of the Holy Magic Sword connected to Lishia’s magic stone, the fate of Marquis Ignat, who was once meant to rebel against the Empire but now shares a bond with Ren after he saved his daughter, the Imperial Officer Academy, where the game takes place, and the legendary beast said to slumber within the Azure Jewel of Serakia.
If I have the opportunity to write Volume 2, I hope to share those stories with all of you.
Additionally, Reincarnated as the Mastermind of the Story will be expanding beyond the novel format.
I’m thrilled to announce that the series will be receiving a manga adaptation in Monthly Shonen Ace!
The manga will be illustrated by none other than Hajime Segawa-sensei, a highly acclaimed artist known for works like Ga-Rei and Tokyo ESP, both of which have been adapted into anime.
When I first heard that Segawa-sensei would be handling the adaptation, I couldn’t contain my excitement!
