The magician who was constantly called incompetent is actually the strongest in the world, but was imprisoned and didn't realize it Volume 1 Prologue
Prologue
The vast sky stretched endlessly, a pristine and cloudless blue.
Nestled against the heavens, the sun gazed down upon the earth, where countless soldiers stood in formation below.
The atmosphere among the troops was grim and lethal, their ranks impeccably ordered. Above their heads hovered a strange black dot.
It was not a cloud. Neither a bird nor a beast. It was the shape of a human.
A young man clad in black—Ars—floated leisurely in midair.
“Is it about time to begin?”
Ars spoke to a figure behind him, one shackled in bizarre restraints, their gender indiscernible.
Their eyes were covered by white leather, concealing their true face, while chains coiled around the outer edges of their restraints.
Each gust of fierce wind caused the chains to clash violently, though the sound was inaudible to those on the ground below.
The black-clad youth stroked his chin, a bold and fearless smile spreading across his face.
There was not a trace of tension, nor the slightest hint of fear.
He stood utterly composed, exuding an indomitable aura of supreme confidence.
Like a predator, the boy concealed his presence to avoid alerting his prey. He licked his lips, his expression twisting with delight.
“I hope someone tries to challenge me with magic I’ve never seen before.”
The wind howled mournfully, as if the sky itself were lamenting the events about to unfold.
Though the gale was fierce enough to overwhelm any ordinary person, the boy remained unshaken, radiating an unyielding presence.
“Come, let us wage war.”
Spreading his arms wide, his black robes fluttered in the air like wings.
A monstrous, booming laugh erupted from him as immense magical power surged from within.
<With hearts crushed to ruin, the spilling blood devours the heavens; the scattered drops quench the earth—>
With each line of his incantation, the restraints binding the figure behind him began to loosen.
The chains encircling their body snapped apart one by one, until finally, the white leather blindfold covering their face shattered.
What emerged was the beautiful visage of a woman, yet it was lifeless, radiating an eerie, bone-chilling presence.
<Light is severed, darkness spreads, stars plummet, the goddess sneers, and three thousand worlds drown in lamentation>
As the boy completed his chant and snapped his fingers, the woman’s eyes widened, her mouth stretching open to its limit.
“Scream in madness—‘Echoes of Death.’”
A rhapsody capable of slaying even gods.
—It was about to ravage the world.
