Prologue
On July 8th, a Friday, at six in the evening...
She lay collapsed in the center of the room.
A dark red liquid spread around her body, as if she were floating in a pool of blood.
It was a scene that seemed utterly otherworldly.
She was lying on her back, her arms spread wide to either side.
And in her heart, a large blade was plunged, standing upright.
It was as if she had been crucified. She was pinned to the floor, her heart pierced through.
Naturally, there wasn’t the slightest sign of movement.
All I could do was shout her name once more, desperately.
“Reidou… Reidou!”
She had been ensnared in an "ultimate locked-room murder" that no one can solve.
